Current support covers encrypted MultiBit Classic .key private-key backups, Classic .wallet bitcoinj files, and MultiBit HD mbhd.wallet.aes files in both custodial and non-custodial recovery. We inspect the exact file before accepting a case; unencrypted, damaged, or unrecognized files remain out of scope.
Operators test candidates against a safe test piece. A machine owner may see a password that machine finds, but the work package does not include the full wallet, spending keys, direct identity or contact fields, complete address lists, balances, or transaction history. Wallet-specific metadata can vary: an older Electrum BIE1 safe piece may expose a prefix of the first wallet address, while a MultiBit Classic .key piece reveals a bounded, non-spendable WIF prefix after a match. The password alone cannot move funds without the wallet it unlocks.
